Preparations for "Humanitarian Demining 2011"
Preparations for the 8th International Symposium „Humanitarian Demining 2011“ are advancing. The symposium will be held from 26th to 28th April in Sibenik. The main topics will be knowledge, skills and safety needed in humanitarian demining.
Each year the Symposium is attended by representatives of international mine action organizations (GICHD, UNMAS), MACs from all over the world, demining and EOD organizations, governments of both mine affected and donor countries, manufacturers of demining equipment, etc. Participants from 20 countries have registered so far.
This year the Symposium will be held under the patronage of the Croatian president Ivo Josipović, who will give the introductory speech at the Symposium opening.
The IARP (International Advanced Robotics Programme) HUDEM 2011 Workshop will be held on the margins of the Symposium.
