A workshop entitled “Deployment of the Decision Support System for Mine Suspected Area Reduction in Bosnia and Herzegovina”
A workshop entitled “Deployment of the Decision Support System for Mine Suspected Area Reduction in Bosnia and Herzegovina” was held from 20th to 23rd October in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The workshop was organized by HCR-CTRO in cooperation with BH MAC and ITF. It was attended by representatives of CROMAC, BH MAC, ANAMA, EUFOR and Ministry of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The project was financed by a donation of the USA.
The workshop was a continuation of a successful project implemented in Croatia, which has led to a proposal for exclusion of some areas from a mine suspected area in certain municipalities, from 7,67 km2 to 23,34 km2.
In view of very successful results, the project was continued in Bosnia and Herzegovina in order to be used by BH MAC, and the intention is for the project to be implemented in Azerbaijan, so that the representatives of this country participated in the workshop and were trained on the practical use of the system.
The goal of the workshop was to transfer the knowledge gained in the project to SEEMACC members, especially to Bosnia and Herzegovina and Azerbaijan.
