As part of the scientific FP7 TIRAMISU Project, HCR-CTRO has developed, tested and introduced into operational application a new airborne multisensor survey system from Bell-206 helicopter (picture 1). The system was developed by the following team: M. Bajić, T. Kičinbači, M. Krajnović, T. Ivelja, D. Vuletić. Prior to being set up at the helicopter, the system was tested at the vibrations laboratory of the Shipbuilding Institute. Picture 2 shows calibration of the inertial measurement device iMAR. Once mounted on a helicopter, the system was tested during a flight from the Zemunik airport. A sensor operator and a copilot – survey navigator supervise the survey on a movable map, Picture 3. The flight was done in cooperation with the Croatian Air Force. In April, the system was in operational use in Benkovac and Pađene.

The testing of LOCOSTRA P796-EVO demining machine, is ongoing at Cerovac test site. The Testing was ordered by the University of Genova and was organized within the TIRAMISU Project, in which HCR-CTRO is tasked with validation of the tools developed on the Project. The aim of the testing at the test site is to test the capability of vegetation clearance, which is the precondition for operational validation at a demining site in the Republic of Croatia. Another step at the test site will be survivability testing, i.e. impact of explosions of different types of antipersonnel mines on the machine, as well as a training of machine operators who will operate the machine during the operational validation which will follow after the testing at the test site.

After demonstration of the work of the Armtrac 20t robot as part of the Symposium and Equipment Exhibition „Mine Action 2015, the machine was transported to the Cerovac test site, upon request of the Armtrac Company. From 4th to 7th May,performance and survivability testing of the machines will be conducted, as well as the testing in three different soil types. This is the continuation of good cooperation with the British colleagues (Armtrac 75t-230).
