Preparations for the Symposium

The 14th International Symposium „Mine Action 2017“ is to be held under the high patronage of the Croatian Parliament Speaker from 25th to 27th April 2017 in Biograd na Moru.

There will be two partner countries of the Symposium – the Republic of Colombia and the Kingdom of Norway. The aim is to connect one of the main mine action donors in the world, the Kingdom of Norway, a country with a landmine and IEDs problem, the Republic of Colombia, and a country with experience in solving the mentioned problems, the Republic of Croatia.

The Symposium is co-organized by the Government Office for Mine Action, Croatian Mine Action Centre (CROMAC) and CROMAC – Centre for Testing, Development and Training Ltd. (HCR-CTRO) and it is intended for representatives of national mine action authorities, mine action centres, demining companies, relevant ministries, manufacturers of mine action equipment, donors, scientists and representatives of other civilian and military structures involved in mine action.

In addition to the academic part of the Symposium, this year the participants will have an opportunity to see some natural beauties of Croatia, visiting the Krka National Park and taking a cruise along the Krka River and by the Adriatic Sea back to Biograd.
